Three-wheel drivers unions have decided to increase charges by 10 rupees effective tonight after the fuel price increase. Accordingly, the 60 rupee charge for the first kilometre will remain as it was and, the 40 rupees charge for the second kilometre will be increased to 50 rupees. Meanwhile, chairman of the All Ceylon Inter-District school transport service union, LMA Harischandra said that his union has also decided to increase charges. The price of auto diesel was not revised yesterday. However, Lanka IOC increased the price of auto diesel to 129 per litre. Under these circumstances, bus unions stated that they have to increase bus fares again if the franchises of Petroleum Corporation also increase the price of auto diesel.
