Former MP Suresh Premachandran said that the TNA will be divided if Northern Provincial Chief Minister C.V. Wigneshwaran is removed from his post. Premachandran, who is also the leader of one of TNA alliances, EP R LF made this comment in repponse to the statement made by TNA media spokesman MP M.A. Sumanthiran. Chief Minister Wigneshwaran recently removed his minister of agriculture minister and minister of education as a result of there being corruption charges levelled against two other ministers were sent on compulsory leave over the same charges. Ilangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi objected to the move and stated that Wigneshwaran hould be removed as such allegations have been levelled against him as well. A no faith motion with the signatures of 21 council members has already been submitted against the Northern Chief Minister. However, leader of the EP R LF Suresh Premachandran said that TNA alliances such as TELO, PLOTE and his party will be compelled to remain independent in parliament. Meanwhile,the minster of National Co-existence, Dialogue and Official Language Mano Ganeshan expressed his views over the dispute of the Northern Provincial council yesterday. Addressing a ceremony in Hatton, minister Ganeshan said he is ready; to visit the North, meet with the two factions and discuss and settle the matter amicably.
